Mapping and analyzing health disparities and community assets.
FHEED believes that healthy food is a fundamental right for every human being. Because of this, FHEED also believes in working towards social justice through Food Sovereignty: The right of people to democratically shape, define, and govern their own food system (production, processing, distribution, consumption, & waste renewal). FHEED envisions a world where, "everyone has control over their food and no one has to put food in their mouth that hurts people or the environment."
FHEED provides workshops, presentations, and educational materials based on scholarly research, and precedents from the food justice movement.
